Eating disorder and disordered eating support
A Fresh Approach to Food Freedom
Imagine Finding Peace with Food
Imagine enjoying your favourite foods without fear or guilt. Feeling at ease in your body. Being free from the exhausting cycle of restrictive eating, bingeing, or compensatory behaviours.
If this feels out of sight, you’re not alone. Many clients come to us feeling like they’re at a dead end. Maybe you’ve been put on a long waiting list or told you’re not “ill enough” to receive eating disorder help.
In reality, eating disorders come in all shapes and sizes, and you don’t need to have a certain “look” to be worthy and deserving of support.
It’s time to take a proactive approach. With compassionate disordered eating support, you can:
Build a life-long, healthy, and peaceful relationship with food.
Experience meals as a form of enjoyment – not stress and anxiety.
Free yourself from unhealthy diet culture and body shame.
Reconnect with your body’s natural hunger and fullness cues.
No matter where you are on your recovery journey, expert eating disorder dietitians Aoife McMahon and Christine Phelan are here to walk beside you – without judgment.

How Can Our Eating Disorder Clinic Help You?
At Fresh Approach Nutrition, we provide support for all types of eating disorders and disordered eating patterns. Below are some of the eating disorders we treat:
Binge Eating Support
Binge eating involves consuming large amounts of food quickly, often accompanied by loss of control. If you need help for binge eating disorder, we can work with you to understand the emotional triggers behind your food habits and develop strategies for more mindful eating.
Restrictive Eating Disorder Recovery
Restrictive eating disorders, such as anorexia, involve extreme limitations on food due to fear of weight gain and a distorted body image. Whether or not you have a formal diagnosis, we provide gentle support to help you safely expand your intake and challenge your beliefs about food.
ARFID Eating Disorder Help
Avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) often stems from sensitivities to textures, smells, tastes, or even the appearance of food. If you struggle with sensory issues, our ARFID dietitians can help you explore new foods, desensitise sensations, and improve your food relationship.
Compensatory Behaviours
Compensatory behaviours like self-induced vomiting, over-exercising, or fasting are often used to “make up” for binge eating. Some people with compensatory behaviours may have a diagnosis of bulimia. It can feel like an endless cycle, but we’re here to help you break free.
Orthorexia Eating Disorder Help
Orthorexia is an obsession with eating “pure” or “clean” foods. You may feel anxious about eating anything you don’t consider healthy, leading to strict food rules that completely rule your life. We’ll help you find a more balanced approach to eating where health and enjoyment coexist.
Remember, you don’t need a formal diagnosis to seek disordered eating help. If you feel like your relationship with food isn’t as it should be, we’re here to support you.
“I struggled a lot with binge eating and felt a deep sense of shame and guilt around food. I found the process of working with Fresh Approach Nutrition very much life-changing. My dietitian made me feel comfortable from the very start and genuinely cared about what I had to say. I felt I could say anything without fear of judgment.”
“Support from my eating disorder dietitian has changed things so much for me. I now have a much better, healthier relationship with food. I still use the methods and resources Aoife provided me, and I can’t thank her enough!”
“I’ve never met another dietitian for eating disorders who is as caring and educating. Her work with me throughout the last 4 months has been instrumental in my recovery from disordered eating behaviours. I would not be where I am today without her time and encouragement. I could not recommend Fresh Approach Nutrition enough.”
